France and Senegal finished 6-6 in Corbeil-Essonnes on Tuesday, a local five-a-side match that drew a rare level score before the professional World Cup meeting later in the day. The game was part of the Corbeil-Essonnes World Cup, a 12-nation tournament running from June 12 to June 28.

The local fixture took place in Corbeil-Essonnes, Essonne, and sat inside an event built around the idea of bringing neighbors together. Yassine Gaadaoui said the players represented either the Blues or their country of origin, while Moussa Laziri said the tournament had a social and unifying objective.
Moussa Jagne, president of DTR Sport and a Senegal attacker, said the event crossed age groups and city lines. “On réunit ici toutes les générations, autant les mamans que les enfants.” He added, “C’est important d’unir tout le monde,” and said players came from Évry-Courcouronnes, Corbeil-Essonnes, and Ris-Orangis.

The draw did not drain the mood. Jagne said, “Ils prennent ça au sérieux. Ils savent qu’il y a parfois des recruteurs de clubs pros.” That made the local match more than a casual kickoff, with some players treating the day as a chance to be seen as well as to compete.
Supporters of France and Senegal celebrated the 6-6 result, then stayed to watch the real France-Senegal World Cup match together. Bintou Touré said the association sold crêpes for “un euro symbolique,” adding, “Avec ça, on peut offrir des goûters aux enfants dans les jardins partagés de Montconseil.”

The event’s reach went beyond the field. Touré’s fundraiser tied the match day to the shared gardens in Montconseil, while Laziri described the atmosphere after the draw as simple and orderly: “C’est de la bonne ambiance, tout est fait dans le respect.”
