The pennsylvania game commission will put 2026-27 hunting and trapping licenses on sale Monday, June 22, at 8 a.m. New licenses become valid July 1, after old licenses expire.
A general hunting license costs about $21 for resident adults and about $102 for nonresident adults. Hunters can buy them in person at more than 500 commercial issuing agents statewide or online at huntfish.pa.gov.

The first round of antlerless deer license sales for Pennsylvania residents only also starts at 8 a.m. Monday, June 22. The agency has also set additional opening times for 8 a.m. July 13, 8 a.m. August 10 and 8 a.m. August 24.
For hunters, the practical deadline is Monday morning. Those who want licenses for the 2026-27 season can buy them before the July 1 start date, while antlerless deer licenses for residents open in the same first round.
The staggered sales schedule creates the only immediate friction point in the process: general licenses go on sale statewide, but the first antlerless deer licenses are limited to Pennsylvania residents.
