tf1 will not air the Koh-Lanta: Les reliques du destin finale on 16 June. Denis Brogniart will present it on 23 June instead, after the channel pushed the poles challenge back by one week to avoid a France-Senegal football match that could draw a large part of its audience.
France-Senegal on 16 June
France was scheduled to face Senegal on 16 June at MetLife Stadium in New York, with kickoff at 15:00 on the east coast of the United States. M6 was set to broadcast the match at 21:00 French time, the same slot TF1 usually gives to Koh-Lanta, which is why the channel chose not to compete head-on for the same viewers.
TF1 said at the beginning of June that the finale would move to Tuesday 23 June. In practical terms, that means the season’s decisive stage no longer lands in its usual weekly prime-time window, and the channel gives up one of its regular flagship appointments for a week rather than split its audience against live football.
Cynthia, Clarisse and Guillaume
The delayed finale will center on Cynthia, Clarisse and Guillaume. Cynthia and Guillaume came from the yellow tribe, while Clarisse was the only survivor from the red team. The winner of the poles challenge will choose which of the other two adventurers will face the final jury, so the order of events still determines who gets the last shot at the title.
The live count will take place in Plaine Saint-Denis, where all 20 candidates from Koh-Lanta: Les reliques du destin will reunite around Brogniart. That keeps the finale intact, but it now plays as a scheduling trade-off: football gets the earlier slot, and TF1 protects its reality series for the following week instead of trying to force both events into the same evening.
Secret Story at 23:30
The same night, TF1 will follow the finale with the return of Secret Story at 23:30. Christophe Beaugrand will present the 14th edition, with around fifteen anonymous candidates entering the house of secrets, so the channel is stacking two late-evening entertainment bets behind the football-reshaped prime-time plan.
