The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people Saturday after what deputies described as a kidnapping from a home in Perinton, and amber alert today was issued and later lifted within about an hour. Deputies said all three victims were found safe.

Perinton Arrests Saturday

Omar Saleh and Gamil Ahmed, both of Rochester, and Dajour Paul of Brooklyn were each charged with kidnapping. Deputies said the alleged kidnapping happened around 3:20 p.m. Saturday, setting off a response that reached the public just before 9 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies also said they recovered a car they believe was involved in the kidnapping. The alert was lifted shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, ending the public search window after roughly an hour.

Amar Saleh Video

Amar Saleh spoke by phone and said his mother and siblings were brought to the Perinton house after Child Protective Services picked them up last month. He said the video he sent showed his younger brother running into his arms, and he said the video was shot at a home on Crossover Road in Perinton.

The sheriff’s office said it has no new information it can share at this time. For readers following the case, the concrete development is that three people now face kidnapping charges while deputies say the three alleged victims were recovered safely.
