sandip patel cannes put SRHP Films in front of film professionals and international buyers with Holy Father. The attention centered on an upcoming Hollywood project, while Patel used the festival to pursue international networking and distribution discussions.

Holy Father at Cannes

SRHP Films drew notice at Cannes because of Holy Father, the Hollywood film directed by Shravan Tiwari and featuring Eric Roberts and Mary Lyrette. For an independent banner operating from Augusta, Georgia, that kind of visibility gives the company a cleaner path into buyers’ conversations than a trade announcement alone.

Patel’s presence at the festival extended beyond a photo-op. He was in business meetings, networking sessions, and discussions tied to international film distribution, which is where smaller production houses test whether a project can travel beyond a home market. That makes Cannes less a backdrop than a working room for a company trying to widen its reach.

Patel, Atul, and Ashvin

Patel also had guidance from IMPPA Vice President Atul Patel on global film opportunities. Ashvin Borad, an award-winning photographer and digital marketing expert who was previously honoured at the Filmfare India International Film Festival, supported him during the festival.

Those names matter because the Cannes circuit is built on relationships as much as finished films. Patel is not presenting SRHP Films as a one-title outing; he has been taking the production house to major international platforms, and the festival discussions fit that wider push.

Sundown Town in 2027

The firm’s broader slate already has another marker on the calendar. A launch ceremony for Sundown Town was held on May 23, 2026, and the makers said the film is scheduled to release in 2027. It is also directed by Shravan Tiwari, with Sandip Patel and Rita Patel producing.

That timing gives SRHP Films two linked signals: one project is drawing attention in Cannes, and another is already moving toward release. For Patel, the sharper business play is clear — use festival access to build overseas interest now, then carry that momentum into the 2027 rollout.
