lamelo ball and Ana Montana welcomed their son LaOne in January, adding a first child together to a relationship that is now anchored by parenthood. The NBA player is 24, and the couple said the birth has reshaped how they view love, purpose and legacy.

“Welcoming LaOne into the world has changed our hearts in the best way,” they said in a statement. They also said, “Family has always meant everything to us, but becoming parents has given us an entirely new perspective on love, purpose, legacy and what truly matters most.”

LaOne Arrives In January

The birth came early in the year, and it is the clearest development in a story that now centers on the couple’s first baby together. Ball and Montana, whose real name is Analicia Chaves, said their son has already changed the pace and focus of their lives.

“He has brought so much happiness and meaning into our lives, and we're incredibly grateful to God for trusting us with such a special blessing,” they said. “We're embracing this new chapter with so much love and excitement as we raise and guide our son together.”

Ana Montana’s I Am Fertility

Montana is also launching I Am Fertility, a nonprofit built to support women navigating fertility and IVF journeys. The organization will offer education, emotional support, trusted resources and reproductive health awareness, giving the couple’s family news a wider public purpose.

The nonprofit’s HOPE Grant will provide direct financial assistance to women pursuing IVF and fertility treatments. The inaugural grant will award two women $5,000 each this year, giving the program a concrete starting point rather than a broad promise.

HOPE Grant Dates

Grant applications open on Mother’s Day and close on June 1. For women looking at the program, that creates a short window to apply for help tied directly to fertility treatment costs.

Montana said, “At one point during my IVF journey, I felt overwhelmed, emotional, isolated and unsure where to turn.” She added, “That experience inspired me to create I Am Fertility as a safe space where women don't have to face this journey alone.”

“This is more than awareness, it's about creating real support, real access and a community where women feel seen, understood and hopeful,” she said. The birth of LaOne gives that work an immediate personal backdrop, with parenthood and fertility support now running through the same family story.
