joão neves will be based in Palm Beach Gardens with Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal for the 2026 World Cup group stage, after FIFA set the Florida city as the team’s base of operations. The official hotel has not been announced, but Portuguese media have identified the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach as the likely choice.

Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach

The resort sits about 7 km from Mar-a-Lago and offers more than 200 rooms and suites, all with private balconies looking toward the ocean or the gardens. Nightly rates run from about 1,000 euros to more than 8,500 euros, or about 30.5 million VND to more than 259 million VND.

Among hotels in Palm Beach, it is the only one with both a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating and an AAA Five Diamond rating. The property also has a private beach, luxury rooms and villas, a spa and a modern gym, placing Portugal in a resort area where privacy comes at a premium.

Gardens North County District Park

Roberto Martínez and his players will train at Gardens North County District Park during their stay in Florida, about 30 km from the hotel. The site covers more than 82 hectares, has 10 soccer fields and modern facilities for professional sports teams, and England used it before the 2026 World Cup.

That distance leaves Portugal splitting daily routines between a high-end hotel on the coast and a training base inland. Security staff already had to advise the team to return quickly to the hotel on 15 June, after Ronaldo and his teammates drew a large crowd of fans in Palm Beach and absolute social distancing from the public could not be guaranteed on the open beach area.

Cristiano Ronaldo in Florida

Ronaldo was 41 years old in the article, and the report says the 2026 World Cup will probably be the last of his career. For Portugal, the arrangement gives Martínez a controlled Florida base before the group stage begins, with the hotel still to be named publicly and the training site already set.
