Nepal beat Oman by eight wickets in hk vs nep at the Singapore National Cricket Ground on Sunday and moved into the Men’s T20I Asian Games Qualifier final. They chased 95 in 9.2 overs, turning a semifinal that started with a shaky two-wicket loss of early wickets into a one-sided finish.
Lokesh Bam and Rohit Paudel finished the chase with an unbeaten 68-run stand. Bam made 44 not out off 26 balls, while the captain added 21 not out off 20 as Nepal reached 95 for 2 after slipping to 27 for 2 inside two overs.

Oman won the toss and chose to bat, but the innings never settled. They were bowled out for 94 in 19.4 overs, two balls short of completing the innings, after Sufyan Mehmood top-scored with 38 off 42 balls.
Zubair al Balushi made 22 off 14 balls and Abdul Jalil added 16 off 14, yet Nepal kept taking wickets at regular intervals. Karan KC led the attack with 3 for 20, while Sompal Kami took 2 for 26 and Sandeep Lamichhane finished with 2 for 19.

Sameer Othman did Oman’s best work with the ball, dismissing Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh and finishing with 2 for 36. His early strikes left Nepal under pressure, but the middle order never let the chase drift beyond repair.
That recovery mattered because Nepal were playing a semifinal on the edge of the tournament’s biggest stage, while Oman’s squad came in with a youth-heavy lineup and only Mehmood carrying major experience. Nepal, by contrast, had been viewed as a favorite and backed that tag by chasing down the target in fewer than 10 overs.
Oman’s Third-Place Route
Nepal now move on to the final after an eight-wicket win built on discipline with the ball and pace in the chase. Oman drop into Monday’s third-place playoff against the winner of the Hong Kong-Malaysia semifinal, with their campaign now reduced to one more placement match.
