seth jarvis friends are making the trip again. A group of six from Winnipeg will be at Lenovo Center on Tuesday for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Vegas Golden Knights. It gives Jarvis a familiar block of support at his first Final.
Winnipeg to Raleigh
Jarvis said the six have already logged serious miles for him. They drove 30 hours from Winnipeg to Boston to watch him in the 4 Nations Face-Off championship game against the United States last season, and he said they also followed him to Milan for the 2026 Winter Olympics to play for Canada.
That pattern fits what has happened around Hurricanes games, too. His friends made a few trips to Carolina matches and served as the siren sounders before the Hurricanes hosted the Philadelphia Flyers for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Second Round.
Jarvis and Carolina
That night turned into one of Jarvis’ biggest playoff moments. Carolina fell behind 2-0, then rallied to win 3-2 in overtime after he scored the tying goal in the third period. It was his first goal of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after he went without one in his first five games.
Jarvis finished with eight points in 13 playoff games, including three goals and five assists. After the morning skate, he said, “Those guys are family” and added, “Those guys are as close to brothers as I'll ever get, so it's incredible to have people like that in my life and guys that are willing to drop everything and travel to come support me.”
Staal and Aho on Jarv
Sebastian Aho said of the group, “They have a good time, that's for sure.” Jordan Staal called them “true friends” and “great supporters of 'Jarv'” who are “willing to go miles to support their friend.”
Staal also said, “They're obviously a lot of fun” and, “So, they're here to have fun, but also it looks like they're ready to support Jarv when he's working.”
Jarvis has played five NHL seasons, and Carolina had reached the conference final three times in four seasons before breaking through this year. He said, “Being here the last couple years, I knew this definitely was a possibility,” and, “So, I'm just super happy to be able to be here and share the moment with the guys in the room and my buddies back home.”
