Lego will present a detailed lego sagrada familia model that includes the crown fabricated by Tvitec and stainless steel from Roldán, the Ponferrada subsidiary of Acerinox. The set ties the Barcelona temple designed by Antoni Gaudí to two companies that supplied materials for the real structure.

The model reflects the same temple details found on the Sagrada Familia’s towers, including the stainless steel used in the four towers dedicated to the Evangelists, the Tower of the Virgin Mary and the Tower of Jesus Christ. Roldán has supplied corrugated bars made of Duplex 2025 stainless steel since 2008.

Roldán in Ponferrada

Roldán’s steel has also been used to reinforce beams, stone supports and armatures inside the temple. The company’s material appears in a structure that rises to 172.5 meters in the Tower of Jesus Christ, the tallest church in the world.

The steel from Ponferrada is part of the temple’s structural development, not just its visible finish. It has gone into internal reinforcement, which means the Lego model is drawing on elements that helped shape the building itself, not only its exterior profile.

Tvitec crown for Gaudí

Tvitec fabricated the cross that crowns the Tower of Jesus Christ, a piece that measures 17 meters high and 13.5 meters wide. Assembly began on November 30 with the placement of the lower arm, which measures 7.25 meters and weighs about 24 tons.

The cross components arrived divided into four large panels, and assembly took place above the temple’s central nave at an approximate height of 54 meters. The structure is made of fourteen pieces combining stainless steel and concrete, and it is coated with white glazed ceramic accompanied by crystals.

The tower’s latest visitable point will be reached by a spiral staircase carved in stone, with access up to 142.5 meters at the terminal base. That detail gives the Lego release a direct link to a building that is still adding new visible elements while keeping its original Gaudí design at the center.

June 10, 2026 mass

A solemn mass officiated by Pope Leo XIV is scheduled for June 10, 2026, when the official blessing of the Tower of Jesus Christ will take place. The ceremony will coincide with the centenary of Antoni Gaudí’s death.

For buyers and admirers of the temple, the set is more than a display model: it packages the names of the real companies behind parts of the basilica into a consumer product. The next public milestone around the temple is that June blessing, which will formally mark the tower’s latest stage inside the religious complex.
