“I can say that I’m not in the ER this season. I’ve done my ER rotation, so I’m doing my psychiatry rotation,” Azeez said. She added, “It’s a very different vibe for me. And I’m scared and nervous.”

Azeez’s remarks give Season 3 a clearer direction before the new episodes arrive in November. The shift pulls Victoria out of the emergency department and places her in a specialty that keeps the story inside medicine while changing the setting and the cases around her.

She told Whitaker, “No offense, but look what this place does to you,” and added, “The more time I spend here, the more I realize the importance of mental health — for patients and for us.”
