gabriel ganley died at 22, ending the run of a Brazilian bodybuilder and fitness influencer who had become one of the most recognizable young names in the country’s lifting scene. By the time of his death, he had roughly 2 million Instagram followers and a major supplement sponsorship.

Ganley’s rise in Brazil

Ganley was born in Rio de Janeiro and started lifting at 15 after watching bodybuilding icons from the 1980s and 1990s. His mother initially limited him to three gym sessions per week over injury concerns, and he practiced martial arts before focusing fully on bodybuilding.

His profile climbed through training clips, physique updates and a playful gym-culture persona. A viral clip of him performing a 500-kilogram leg press widened his audience beyond hardcore lifting fans, and reports later placed his following at more than 1.2 million before it reached roughly 2 million.

IntegralMédica’s farewell

IntegralMédica said on May 23 that Ganley had died, describing him as its “eternal bbzinho.” The sponsor’s message read: “Today the pain speaks louder. With great sadness, we say goodbye to our eternal bbzinho, who lived intensely and with whom we had historic and unforgettable moments in our family”

That tribute came after several Brazilian reports listed him as 22. It also came while his cause of death had not been released, leaving his death public but not fully explained.

From natural bodybuilding to 2025

Beltrão Agora, citing G1, said Ganley studied Physical Education for two years at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, moved to São Paulo in 2023 after signing a sponsorship deal and began competing in bodybuilding around 2023. O Povo reported that he first drew attention while promoting natural bodybuilding and that his early competitions in 2023 and 2024 followed that model.

Later, he told followers he had started using anabolic steroids. O Povo also reported that he withdrew from 2025 competitions because of pneumonia and was preparing for Musclecontest Brasil in Curitiba this year.

By 2025, ge reported that he had more than 1.2 million followers, major sponsorships and guidance from Jorlan Vieira. For readers who followed him online, the immediate change is simple: one of Brazil’s most visible young bodybuilding figures is gone, and the public record now stops at his final reported competition plans and the sponsor’s farewell.
