Nottingham Forest made two changes for nottm forest vs bournemouth, and Ibrahim Sangare went straight back into midfield for his first start since the end of April. Vitor Pereira’s side also brought Jair Cunha back for the final Premier League game of the season.
Forest Shuffle Their Final XI
Sels started in goal behind Jair Cunha, Milenkovic, Morato and Williams, with Sangare and Elliot Anderson in midfield. Gibbs-White, Hutchinson, I. Jesus and Wood completed the starting eleven, while Ortega, Awoniyi, Ndoye, Dominguez, Yates, McAtee, Netz, Abbott and Sillah were named among the substitutes.
Sangare’s return was the headline selection call. His previous start came in the 5-0 win at Sunderland, and this was his first chance back in the opening lineup since the end of April. Elliot Anderson also reached his 50th appearance of the season, giving Forest one more milestone in a match that already carried the feel of a season closer.
Bournemouth Stay Unchanged
Bournemouth kept the same starting side for the match, with Petrovic, Hill, Sensi, Smith, Truffert, Adams, Scott, Tavernier, Kroupi, Rayan and Evanilson all retained. Mandas, Cook, Toth, Diakite, Brooks, Unal, Kluivert, Adli and Gannon-Doak were on the bench.
Andoni Iraola’s team still had a route into the Champions League, but it depended on results elsewhere. They needed Aston Villa to lose at Manchester City and Liverpool to beat Brentford for sixth place to be enough. That left Bournemouth waiting on two other grounds while Forest’s changes were already settled on their side of the team sheet.
For Forest, the story was the midfield reset and Sangare’s return after a long gap between starts. For Bournemouth, the same XI carried the weight of a Champions League chase and Iraola’s final game in charge, with their fate tied to what happened away from the Vitality Stadium.
