Rico Henry will not feature in liverpool vs brentford, while Brentford go into their final Premier League fixture with the same injury availability as last week. Keith Andrews said the squad are in good shape after a short run of positive days, but Fábio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo remain sidelined with ACL injuries.

Andrews on Brentford mood

“The players are in a good place,” Andrews said ahead of the trip to Merseyside. He added: “We had the awards last night – it was nice to get together.”

That mood has carried through a spell he described as productive. “We’ve had a good couple of weeks. The season is coming to a close,” he said, before making clear the availability picture has not shifted since the previous week.

Henry Misses Merseyside Trip

“Injury-wise it’s the same as last week, in terms of availability,” Andrews said. The headline absence is Henry, who will not feature on Merseyside, while Carvalho and Milambo remain out with ACL injuries.

That leaves Brentford with the same core group Andrews has managed through recent matches. He has also been willing to vary the attacking setup, saying: “It’s a little bit about our players and where they’re at: physically, form, opposition.”

Brentford’s Attacking Shape

On Sunday against Crystal Palace, Brentford played Dango Ouattara a little bit more narrow, closer to Igor Thiago. Andrews said: “We didn’t start Kevin [Schade] last weekend, so we wanted those two to come closer as a pair.”

He also pointed to how Mikkel Damsgaard and Mathias Jensen were used at times. “We wanted to get Dams [Mikkel Damsgaard] and Mathi [Jensen] a little bit closer on occasions,” he said, adding: “There’s always a little bit of method in the madness, I suppose.”

For Brentford, the practical takeaway is straightforward: the final league match comes with the same availability picture as last week, and Henry is out for the trip to Liverpool. Andrews has shown enough flexibility in recent weeks to keep his options moving, but the unavailable names leave the squad short of a full hand for the season’s last game.
