bradley barcola is back on Liverpool’s radar as Paris Saint-Germain weigh how to handle a forward line that is already crowded. The 23-year-old has just over two years left on his current deal, and his representatives have begun background work on possible landing spots while he weighs his options.

Liverpool and PSG

Liverpool were turned away in March, when PSG rejected their approach for Barcola and stood firm on Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as well. That rebuff did not end the interest. Liverpool are targeting potentially two new wide attackers this summer, and Barcola has re-entered the conversation as the window approaches.

PSG still say he remains a key part of their plans, but the club’s own attack has shifted around him. Luis Enrique continues to use Barcola in a major role, yet the preferred front line currently features Ousmane Dembele, Doue and Kvaratskhelia, leaving the winger in a less certain position than he held earlier in the year.

Barcola’s Options

His change of agency towards the end of last year has also sharpened the focus on what comes next. Barcola is now keen to assess his options and understand what opportunities may be available, and PSG would like to open talks with him before the situation drifts further.

That search is not limited to Merseyside. Arsenal are actively assessing left-sided attacking options, while Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been made aware of Barcola’s evolving situation. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also monitoring developments, and the Saudi Pro League is keeping a watching brief.

For Liverpool, the interest is straightforward: they need wide attacking help and Barcola is once again available to monitor after PSG held their line in March. For PSG, the next move is about deciding whether to keep a 23-year-old with two years left on his deal or start talks before the market does it for them.
